GPP3 - Starters - Inspiration - 5 things - #One

After a 4 year break, the brothers Ween returned in full force over the weekend 12,13,14 February 2016, playing in Broomfield Colorado. Thanks to technology and the fan base, especially those in the Ween Appreciation Society, Ween addicts around the world not able to attend the shows did not miss out.

All 3 shows were streamed, in real time (up to 3 different crowd live-feeds each night were streamed on Periscope, each night had an audio stream and about a half dozen or so folks captured video and posted onto Youtube).

For those that could not real-time stream an audio or video feed, recordings were on the internet within hours ... minutes in some instances.

The reunion concerts coincided with the Presidents Day long weekend. Which influenced the graphic design of the promotional posters.

After playing 94 songs over the weekend, no repeats, this is still only a fraction of what could have been played (bring on Florida in March and New York in April).

There are many stand out tracks, but I can not stop playing Kim Smoltz. Saturday night was the first time Ween played this track live. Can't wait to see if they get into the recording studio again and hopefully this will be on their next release.
